Lane Moredock is an innocent bystander to his parents ripping off all their friends and all the investors who gave their money to the Moredock family. This story is essentially about a Ponzi scheme and the downfall of those who were involved. Trigger warnings for date rape drugs, sexual abuse, and rape. The characters are precious, consent is a big part of the character’s relationship, and there are dogs in this book. The blurb was interesting enough, but I came to really enjoy the story and the characters. Lane might be everything that Derek wants, but first Derek needs to trust that Lane is innocent-and Lane needs to trust Derek with the truth.Ĭontains BDSM, some puppy play, and a very obnoxious macaw!
